Christmas Films!

So, I may have been having a 'down' day the other day and upon realising we had no Christmas DVDs to hand to cheer me up, ordered a few off Amazon...

On the plus side, I now feel like I am ready to move out and go to Uni next year, as I'll be sorted for Christmas time!
I actually ended up buying this set because it was a lot cheaper than buying the films individually, but not all of them are listed here because I want to talk today about my favourite ones!
The one's shown here are Jingle All the Way, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street (the version with the girl who plays Matilda), Elf, Nativity! and Deck the Halls
Personally, I prefer comedic Christmas films as I really believe that the holiday season is about having a good reason just to laugh for a while and enjoy time with your friends/family, so I tend to avoid some of the more serious/thoughtful ones.
I'm currently debating on whether to order Nativity 2 (which I've never seen - is it good?) and the Santa Clause trilogy which I bought for my best friend two years ago so I suppose I could just steal his, hmm...
What Christmas DVDs do you think are essential that I'm missing from my collection? Let me know!

  1. Ooh Elf is always a good one! I hate to admit it but the first Alvin and the Chipmunks film is a bit of a guilty pleasure too, their Christmas song in it is far too catchy as well!

  2. Wow, you went all out! I prefer just to watch it online hehe. But having the actual film is just more comforting.
