Brindleyplace Film Festival 2016
Living in Birmingham now, it feels like there's always something fun and exciting going on - much more than when I lived in the countryside! If I'm honest, one of the number one ways I find out about things going on around here is through Facebook ads for places based on location and yesterday I found one for a Film Festival happening in a part of town that we live quite close to, and as I had a friend from home up and we were looking for something to do, we decided to head down and give it a go.

Turning 19!

If I'm honest, I'm not particularly major about birthdays. If you've read my post about what I did on my 18th birthday, that may come as a bit of a surprise to you as that one was a pretty big spectacle! But aside from milestone birthdays where my darling mum has a tendency to go a bit OTT, most birthdays tend to go by relatively quietly with this year being not much of an exception.

To The Gym!
For the past year and a half or so, going to the gym has been a fairly staple part of my routine. Sure, some weeks I may end up there 4 times and others I may skip going altogether, but it's something I at least think about doing every week. For a bit of background, I'm useless at every sport ever invented and until I started going to the gym, I did no exercise whatsoever so it's been quite important for me to focus on it, as I like to stay in fairly good shape!

A Week in Exeter
As some of you may know, I've recently started a new job and part of that means having to travel around the country when you're needed to! This past week, I've been staying down in Exeter so I thought I'd write a post wrapping up all the things that I did.

Asking For It - Louise O'Neill
It's been a while since I reviewed a book on my blog because, frankly, it's been a while since I read a book! But Christmas always renews my love of reading and this year has been no exception. I've read a few books in the last couple of weeks but none have made me think quite as much as Asking For It by Louise O'Neill has done, so I thought I'd revive book posts with one all about it!

Three Little Things
I was reading Lauren's blog post yesterday where she talked about creating goals for 2016 that would lead to her becoming healthier and happier and decided to write a similar post of my own. 2015 for me was a year of getting things done and whilst it was very productive (everything from passing my driving test to getting into university), I can't help but feel like the time ran away from me and in my mind, it may as well still be March for how surreal most of it felt! Therefore my goals for this year are all around keeping me grounded in the moment and making the most of the time I do have. So without further ado..
