Pineapple Cilantro Yankee Candle

I've been a bit of a Yankee Candle fan girl for a number of years now and if you are also a candle fan, you'll know that there is no feeling quite like that when you have nearly finished a candle. Today I thought I'd say RIP to one of my favourites for this time of year, Pineapple Cilantro.
Yankee Candle describe this candle as:

'Give yourself up to the refreshing surprise of this tropical treat. Fresh island pineapple served with a citrus touch of cilantro and sweet coconut is a bit like sipping a tropical drink al fresco. The experience encourages you to escape the mundane - if ever so briefly - and enjoy the soothing sensation of sitting on a tropical beach. Even the pineapple fragrance's unexpected soft leaf green color plays into the desire to escape the ordinary.'

Personally, I tend to steer away from Tropical scented candles as I am not such a fan of having Coconut scents in a candle but I can't smell that so much in this one - despite the description!
It's always a struggle to try and describe scents but this one smells very strongly of pineapple, mixed with something else to make it less sharp than pineapple can sometimes smell. (Wow, what a helpful description Megan! I did warn you..)

I've had this candle for 2 summers now and burn it fairly regularly, yet this Medium Jar size has lasted me for so long! Then again, as I've gotten closer and closer to the end I've avoided burning it so that I wouldn't be left without it.

Saying that, this is definitely going to be a candle I end up repurchasing - probably even before the end of this summer! I must say that this isn't really a candle I would want to burn any time other than summer, but that might just be because I associate the smell so strongly with sunny summer days!

Have you smelt this candle before? What's your favourite Yankee Candle scent? Let me know!

  1. I have had a Yankee Candle for so many years and it never seems to finish! I find that they are totally worth the money because of it's size and quality of the candle. It's definitely a lot more practical than the Bath and Body Works candles.

  3. Oh, I've never tried this one. I have to say I do love their fruit scents, mandarin & cranberry is my favourite. I've not purchased a scented candle yet that compares to a Yankee candle!
