Why My Mum Is The Best!

You know how at the start of Hauls/Collections/Birthday posts, people will try to clarify that they're not meaning to brag, they're just showing what they've got? This post is the opposite of that - I have every intention of bragging about what an amazing mother I have here! So - this is my mum Michelle! I hope she won't mind me posting so many photos of her on here... Oops!

I'm pretty sure if you ask most girls, at some point in their life they would tell you that their mum is their best friend, but I think me and my mum take that to a whole new level! Considering I still live at home, she's easily the most-texted person on my phone and the sad truth is that if ever I'm sat texting, my friends will automatically ask how mum is doing because more often than not, it's her I'm talking to!

We have such similar senses of humour, we're always laughing and smiling when we're together and winding each other up! We try to go out for coffee regularly but considering she's such a busy lady (more on that in a minute!) it doesn't always happen but even just little trips to the supermarket together make me happy.

My mum has 5 children. How does she do it, you may ask? Well, even I don't know! She's always here, there and everywhere chasing after at least one of us, but she still manages to make sure that we all feel loved and supported whenever we're going through something, or even if we just need a cuddle.

There's always a bake sale for her to be organising, a birthday party to take us to or some homework to be helping out with, yet somehow she manages to juggle it and not drop anything!

In the past year, I've had AS Levels to survive through, quite a major break up, Universities to apply for and learning to drive just to say the least, but she's been there every step of the way! From holding my hand on the way to interviews to offering me a glass of wine at the end of a long day - she always knows what I need!

I'm so glad that as I've grown up, mum and I have only gotten closer and I hope that carries on into the future!
So yeah, on behalf of me and my siblings, I would just like to say that I feel very sorry for you all for not having such a truly brilliant lady with such a heart of gold in your life - it's very unfortunate for you!
Mum, if you do ever happen to stumble upon this post when reading through my blog, I love you and here's to many more Mother's Days!

  3. This is such a lovely post to read, and all the photos of you and your mum definitely show you have a lot of fun! My mums my best friend too although living away from home definitely means less regular chats, although we do catch up once or twice a week.
